Our Mission
Keyport Hooks and Hope is a community fishing group in Keyport, New Jersey. We bring local anglers together for fun group outings while providing positive mentorship, fishing skills, and memorable experiences — especially for single parents (moms and dads) and their children.
Through pier meetups, casual 6- 12 pack small boat trips, and monthly private charters on the Keyport Princess, we build bonds, teach life skills, promote healthy outdoor activity, and help keep kids on the right path and off drugs. All families and backgrounds are welcome.
How We Work
Every month we organize a private fishing charter on the Keyport Princess. To make this possible, we ask for 20 supporters to each contribute $190 for their own spot on the boat. This fully covers the cost of the charter and allows us to bring 15 children and single parents (or single parent + child) out for free. These sponsored spots are designed to introduce kids and families to the joy of fishing, provide positive mentorship, teach valuable skills, and give them a healthy outdoor activity. The main community group is always free to join, with regular pier meetups and smaller 6-pack boat outings open to everyone.
